I believe that our city council should be constantly striving to equitably help better the lives of as many people as possible, as much as possible, and with as much integrity and transparency as possible. Sadly, our council has come up short time and time again in this charge, but on April 6th we have a chance to change all that.
Our city's government is supposed to be represented by us and for us, but for too long things seem to have been upside down. Residents hear about decisions made on their behalf all the time that had no input from the community. Worse, yet, the little engagement we do get afforded is all too often discarded when it comes time for our council to vote. It doesn't have to be this way.
As your Alderman, you can rest assured that I will always be looking out for you and yours. I'm asking that you join us today, and together we can work towards building a future for Evanston that works for all of us. If you want to help circulate petitions, if you want to have something to help spread the word to your friends and family, or whatever it may be, we all need to be in this together if we're going to win in April. I invite you to use this site to contact the campaign, and join the team!
